The Xterra 6.3 is all we need for our family. We are a family of slow joggers to distance runners. Granted the younger guys are the distance runners but on occasion they have been known to run a few miles on our machine. My wife and I are very happy with the overall performance of this great machine and highly recommend this 6.3 to anyone with a family.
I used to be a gym rat, but I got tired of constantly paying fees just to sit around and wait to use the equipment. I decided to start working out at home instead. Now, I could get everything else really easily, but I was worried about the treadmill. Then a friend had my check out XTERRA. Right away, I started seriously checking out the Trail Racer 6.3.
I had assumed that I'd be stuck spending a fortune on a really good treadmill to use at home, but this one looked pretty decent, and it wasn't going to cost my entire fitness budget. I did a little more research in to it, liked the warranty and everything like that, and decided to pull the trigger. And I'm fairly happy that I did.
I've used better treadmills before, but getting something really high end would have cost me thousands of dollars. Instead, I landed a decent treadmill that gets the job done for a little under a grand. They've used a cushioning system in the deck that really takes some of the shock off of running when you start pounding your feet. That's important to me, because I tend t crank up the speed and get beyond just a leisurely jog when I use it. It's nice and sturdy, and it's extremely comfortable to run on.
All in all, I'd say this is a solid unit to check out. If you can afford to go crazy high end, then do it. But if you just want something that lets you get the job done at home, take a look at this one. It's a decent choice.
Every year I make a New Years Resolution that I'm getting in shape. Yeah yeah, I know. Everyone says it. I did year after year and never did anything about it except go to the gym for a few weeks and give up. This year the wife and kids decided would be different. So they got me one of these for Christmas.
And you know what, its pretty good. I won't say I'm the kind of person who likes running but this gets the job done. I love the size of that lcd screen on there. I use this first thing in the morning and I'm not always so awake when I'm on it. I have no trouble seeing the readouts at all. Its really well done. No trouble folding the deck down to run or putting it up to put it away again either. The assisted lift they used in the unit makes the whole thing easy.
Maybe its time you start getting serious about getting healthy. This Trail Racer treadmill helped me lose twenty five pounds so far, and I'm not done yet.
This is an excellent machine. It runs quietly and is very smooth. The deck feels comfortable when I’m running and with my knee injury this is important. There seems to be reduced impact and I’m able to run longer. And the pulse rate and heart beat monitor helps me to push myself to improve my workouts.
