I'm a very picky person. I spend countless hours researching everything prior to making an actual purchase. This is one that I am extremely satisfied with. The manufactured quality is exactly what you would expect from a brand higher priced. The simplicity of the console is exactly what I was looking for. I use my I pad for Netflix, and music during my workout. "It rest nicely on the console." I have no complaints, and highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality treadmill.
I consider myself an experienced runner, my last treadmill took was a Sears special and I gave it a beating. It lasted six months of everyday usage. I just purchase the Xterra 6.8 Trail Runner…. I've logged quite a few miles on it so far, and to date have not had one issue. If you are on the fence, get off! Buy this treadmill! This tread surpasses that Sears one by light years! It's extremely heavy duty, definitely made for high mileage running. Delivery was excellent; company called a few days before to schedule time, and then called again about an hour before to make sure I was home. Delivered and set up right in my home. Wife is not crazy about the color, but found the black grows on you. If the only thing negatively you can find about a treadmill is color …. Just get over it!
I love this treadmill. I’ve only had it for three weeks now but it runs great. I have put this treadmill to the test and so far it has not disappointed me. It’s display screen is blue and very easy to see under florescent lights in my basement. The speaker quality is not the best but I use my ear pods while running. I think this is the best value on the market today feature for feature. Recommended a winner by a runner…. Don’t be misled by higher priced units saying they’re the leading treadmills. Just because you’re in Sears, Dicks, or Costco does not make you a winner. In most of these stores you can’t test the machine. Sure you can’t test the 6.8 online but you do have an excellent warranty backed by a 60 money back guarantee. Ask Sears or Dicks if they will do that for you?
After a month, we love it! We purchased the 6.8 Xterra. The only difference from the 6.6 and the 6.8 that we can see is the software and warranty. It was worth the $299 difference to buy the 6.8…… Value! As noted by others, set up out of the box took less than an hour. The instructions were clearly written and this is one heavy duty mother! I mean heavy!!! Get a friend to help with this one. Buy the complete set up and delivery for your backs sake.
First purchased treadmill and its everything I was looking for! Setup was super easy and delivery was a breeze! I was a little familiar with Xterra from my previous Xterra marathon races so when I was ready to actually purchase a treadmill, I knew Xterra would be stable, quite, and quality! Best $1299 spent in a long time!
I have only used this treadmill once, but I am thoroughly impressed with it. I bought it to replace a less expensive treadmill that had broken down numerous times over the past few years. The home delivery was an experience and hard to arrange great time to set up the treadmill. However the 6.8 Trail Runner was more than worth the negative shipping response. I highly recommend this treadmill, but pick it up yourself at the trucking company. Sure it’s heavy but you and a buddy can handle the move with a good two wheeler. $1,299 is a great value too!
Buying a treadmill has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had. You're truth challenged by biased affiliate websites and fake five star reviews on treadmills that skew your search. I found Xterra treadmills from a friend that purchased one of their elliptical machines. Previously I had demo’d a True, Precor, and Life Fitness treadmills and found the machine great but the prices were over $4,500. Just by chance I looked at the 6.8 Xterra and found the exact features for $1,299. I also saw they offered a 60 day money back guarantee and the rest is history. Great product!!!!
This is one solid machine! The programs work great. I am a serious runner and this equipment just holds up. Great price for what you get $1,299 to my home and $1,599 set up and delivered in my home. I chose the $1,599 and never looked back.
My 6.8 Xterra runs like a club treadmill and then some. My knees have taken a toal over the past 40 plus years and I found the club units too stiff. The 6.8 is soft but firm. I find less impact on my knees from pounding the deck. I usually jog 3 miles per day at 3% elevation. I use my heart rate control monitor / via chest strap to gauge my target heart rate while I’m working out. I find the Ipod docking station helpful while I watch my Xfinity per-programs shows. The speaker system sounds fine and I do not have to adjust the volume to compensate for the treadmill noise. Really a good deal. I highly recommend this treadmill to anyone!
Bought the 6.8 Xterra a month ago. Had a few problems out of the box I think due to freight damage. They were prompt on sending a service tech to my home to resolve the issue but found it was needfull to replace the unit. This took about three weeks to complete but new unit is running great! Even if the unit didn’t work properly out of the box the company stood behind the product. $1,299 is a lot of money for my family and I wanted a good deal. While shopping for a treadmill I never stopped to realize there could be service side of the equation. Xterra was very easy to deal with. I highly recommend them to everyone I know looking for a treadmill…
