I used to be a gym rat, but I got tired of constantly paying fees just to sit around and wait to use the equipment. I decided to start working out at home instead. Now, I could get everything else really easily, but I was worried about the treadmill. Then a friend had my check out XTERRA. Right away, I started seriously checking out the Trail Racer 6.3.
I had assumed that I'd be stuck spending a fortune on a really good treadmill to use at home, but this one looked pretty decent, and it wasn't going to cost my entire fitness budget. I did a little more research in to it, liked the warranty and everything like that, and decided to pull the trigger. And I'm fairly happy that I did.
I've used better treadmills before, but getting something really high end would have cost me thousands of dollars. Instead, I landed a decent treadmill that gets the job done for a little under a grand. They've used a cushioning system in the deck that really takes some of the shock off of running when you start pounding your feet. That's important to me, because I tend t crank up the speed and get beyond just a leisurely jog when I use it. It's nice and sturdy, and it's extremely comfortable to run on.
All in all, I'd say this is a solid unit to check out. If you can afford to go crazy high end, then do it. But if you just want something that lets you get the job done at home, take a look at this one. It's a decent choice.
