How much water do you need?

The amount of water a person needs depends on the health of the person, the environment, clothing and exercise intensity and duration. According to the American Council on Exercise, you should drink 17 to 20 ounces of fluid 2 to 3 hours before exercise and another 8 ounces 20 to 30 minutes before your workout. Then, during the workout, 7 to 10 ounces every 10 to 20 minutes. And lastly, drink 8 ounces 30 minutes after the workout.
